Mountain Laurel Yurt
Please Note: Summer months May-Mid September can have warm/hot afternoons (80 degrees plus) from 1-5pm. Guests staying in a yurt should make plans to spend the afternoon out of the yurt due to afternoon heat. Bring a bathing suit, go tubing, kayaking, hiking in the mountains or tour the wineries. You will be much cooler. The yurt air conditioner will work better in the morning and late afternoons/ evenings.

For check in's please do not check in before 5pm and use the AC since it will not be able to cool the yurt/tent structure and such attempt is not environmentally friendly. You may check in prior to 5pm (3-9pm) and drop your belongings off and return after 5pm.

The Mountain Laurel Yurt is surrounded by mountain laurel has less shade during some parts of the day. It feels more private to some guests. It is 16 foot in diameter(200 square feet). It has the following amenities:

Mini-fridge for keeping your cold drinks cold
Microwave oven
Coffee maker (4 cup)- bring your own coffee/mugs/condiments
CD clock radio
No TV in yurt
Heat/Air conditioning provided depending on time of year. AC is added when night temperatures warm (over 75 degrees). See box above on AC.
Simulated electric wood stove that can be used year around (produces simulated fire without heat in warmer months)
Floor fan

No phones or TV's provided in yurts

The yurts are designed to serve two adults comfortably.

No children (17 & under), pets or smoking.  

Maximum 2 guests per yurt. (See Policies Page for more information)

What Guests Should Bring?

Guests are encouraged to bring coffee, tea, mugs/glasses, corkscrew, drinks for mini picture of composting toiletfridge, microwave popcorn, jug of water, etc. (coffee & tea is served with breakfast each morning).

For your safety a flashlight is required to help navigate the steps after dark so please bring one.

Running water is not available in the yurt or near the yurts. Some guests like to bring moist towellettes/wipes for hand washing after using the composting toilet.
