Full Organic Breakfast at the Inn

We have been serving a full organic breakfast since we opened in 2003. Our focus on using

organic ingredients is driven by the fact that it is good for the environment and healthier for our guests to eat. As innkeepers we eat organic for the same reasons. Unfortunately due to health department regulations we can only serve our organic breakfast to registered guests.

The rich aroma of fresh ground and brewed organic roasted coffee and other breakfast delights greet you each morning.

Full organic breakfast is served between 8:30-9:15 am in our screen porch dining room during warmer weather or inside during colder temperatures. Vegan, gluten free, lactose intolerant served with advanced notice when you make your reservation.

Sample Dishes

Main dishes vary by season based on ingredient availability but they are all sumptuous. They may include:

organic breakfast
stuffed french toast

Georgia French Toast with cream sauce and toasted pecans. At times it may be blueberry french toast. Cream cheese is in the center. This is a guest favorite.

Breakfast strata with sausage and cheese topped with fresh tomatoes.

Quiche Lorraine

corn fritters

Sauteed Vegetables

Fresh Corn Fritters with corn cut off the cob (in season). So sweet you may be tempted not to add Vermont maple syrup.

Fresh seasonal fruit. In the summer you may get fresh picked organic blueberries off our 6 bushes. We may also have fresh wine berries in the spring from the many berries on the property. It all depends if we have to compete

the birds and other critters that call our property home. Normally there is plenty to share.

Vegan Lemon Waffles with Blueberry Sauce

Traditional eggs from pasture raised, not cage free or free range but the better pastured raised. The yolks are yellower and much healthier and tastier.

Morningstar Farms sausage

Fried potatoes or fried apples.

Greens with raspberry chipolte sauce- favorite with vegans and has a kick.

Fresh baked muffins- blueberry, banana and ginger raisin are favorites.

In 2016 we purchased a vortex water revitalizer to provide structured water for making coffee and tea as well as cooking. The unit is located in the main kitchen area and we can fill guests water bottles with the revitalized water (hydrates better than regular water) to take on hiking and outdoor adventures.

Is breakfast served in the rooms or yurts?

Guests come to the inn dining room for breakfast. During the warmer months breakfast is served in the screen porch dining room at separate tables. During colder months breakfast is served at the large table in the inn dining room.

When is breakfast served?

Typically breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 9:15 am. When guests check in we determine breakfast times. If you are the only guest (typically staying during the weekdays) we can arrange for an earlier or later breakfast as long as you can check out by 11 am. If you leave before 8 am we can arrange for coffee to go.

Will coffee be ready before breakfast for early risers?

Coffee maker is ready to go the night before so early risers can turn it on. Coffee creamer and sugar is available too. Some guests like their early coffee and sit on the patios or in the screen porch dining room.

How is breakfast served?

Breakfast is not served family style or buffet. Each guest plate is plated up individually and brought to your table with orange juice and/or water.

How do you handle special diets?

When making a reservation you will be asked if you have any special diets so that we can shop before you arrive for the ingredients required.
