Mediterranean/Greek Food located downtown on the square. Owner is from Greece and they serve lunch and dinner with full bar. Also sometimes feature foods from a specific country on certain months. Outdoor dining available.
Popular spot with an Irish Pub feel. The bottom floor is very pub like with low ceilings and dollar bills attached to the ceilings celebrating a special moment or first drink at a legal age. This area tends to be noisy if looking for quiet- second floor is quieter. Also a screen porch and outdoor patio for dining. Free music most weekends. May accommodate vegans if you call ahead.
Great pizza and crust if you like New York style. By the slice for lunch or whole pizza for dinner. You can order basic cheese pizza all the way to the kitchen sink which has everything on it. Great craft beer selection including local beers. Can also order beer flights. Thursday’s are sometimes pint nights when they feature a brewery and you keep the glass. They also have traditional Italian entrees like pasta and huge calzones big enough to share. Decor is pub like with a large bar to sit at or choose a table or booth. Right on the square. Affordable and great place to watch a game.
New Orleans/Cajun style food in one of the oldest buildings on the square. You go up the old stairs to get to the restaurant and notice how the stair risers are worn down from the many years of foot traffic. On the building’s first floor there are art galleries and a wine tasting room. Out back on the first floor is an enclosed patio dining area. On the upper floor you can eat outside on the front porch and view the square below as you eat like a Bourbon Street eatery in New Orleans- these tables are hard to get however.
Unique cocktails, live music, craft beer and build your own gourmet hamburgers. We like their grass fed hamburger and farm to table sides. The decor is pub like with a long bar to sit at or have a private table. Tends to be busy on weekends.
A favorite for Mexican food and good option for vegetarians. Located next door and across the street from the antique malls. Affordable and authentic Mexican food with good margaritas (not too weak or too strong). Live music at times.
Authentic German food made by the owners who are from Germany. Large variety of schnitzels with sides like potato salad and kraut. German beer and desserts. Simple decor. Make a reservation if you want their famous fondue.
The restaurant at Montaluce Winery and Vineyards offers lunch and dinner dining. the venue is probably the nicest restaurant of all. Building architecture was designed using a Tuscan theme with high beamed ceilings, stucco walls, nice art, a kitchen that can be seen from the dining room and an adjoining wine tasting area with a long bar. Large windows enable guests to great views of the vineyard below. Also some outdoor dining on the balconies. Menu is not necessarily Italian but offer a variety of entrees. Call before you go.
Popular for live musical entertainment- usually a cover charge on weekends. Also serves dinner and drinks.
Winery/Vineyard Lunches and Dinners
Frogtown, Montaluce (see above) Kaya and Wolf Mountain serve lunch. Frogtown, Montaluce and Kaya also serve dinner with reservations. Wolf Mountain has special dinners from time to time. Check our wineries page above in the site menu.
