Mediterranean/Greek Food located downtown on the square. Owner is from Greece and they serve lunch and dinner with full bar. Also sometimes feature foods from a specific country on certain months. Start with a calamari or other tasty appetizer, special flatbreads with spreads, many salads to choose from with a main entree of steak, seafood or Greek speciality dishes. Small outdoor dining available out front on the square.
Located on the square with indoor and deck seating featuring seafood, steaks and comfort food. Offers an extensive variety of appetizers from seafood to fried green tomatoes. Entrees include shrimp and grits to low country boil to a unique pork belly and scallops. If you like steak they have a 14 oz rib eye or 8 oz filet mignon or sirloin. Many like to eat on the second floor enclosed porch with a view of the historic square.
Popular spot with an Irish Pub feel. The bottom floor is very pub like with low ceilings and dollar bills attached to the ceilings celebrating a special moment or first drink at a legal age. This area tends to be noisy if looking for quiet- second floor is quieter. Also a screen porch and outdoor patio for dining. Free music most weekends. May accommodate vegans if you call ahead. A popular downtown Dahlonega restaurant for fun and food. Food offerings include a large variety of pub food including appetizers, salads and sandwiches as well as traditional Irish fare such as bangers and mash as well as shepherds pie. They also have steak as well.
Great pizza and crust if you like New York style. By the slice for lunch or whole pizza for dinner. You can order basic cheese pizza all the way to the kitchen sink which has everything on it. Great craft beer selection including local beers. Can also order beer flights. Thursday's are sometimes pint nights when they feature a brewery and you keep the glass. They also have traditional Italian entrees like pasta and huge calzones big enough to share. Decor is pub like with a large bar to sit at or choose a table or booth. A downtown Dahlonega restaurant right on the square. Affordable and great place to watch a game. Large picture at top of page is Gustavo's.
New Orleans/Cajun style food in one of the oldest buildings on the square. You go up the old stairs to get to the restaurant and notice how the stair risers are worn down from the many years of foot traffic. On the building's first floor there are art galleries and a wine tasting room. Out back on the first floor is an enclosed patio dining area. On the upper floor you can eat outside on the front porch and view the square below as you eat like a Bourbon Street eatery in New Orleans- these tables are hard to get however. They offer a nice selection of appetizers as well as sandwiches and salads. If you are looking for a dinner meal try their shrimp and grits, gumbo, jambalaya or shrimp and crawfish etoufee. Gluten free and vegan options available.
Unique cocktails, live music, craft beer and build your own gourmet hamburgers. We like their grass fed hamburger and farm to table sides. The decor is pub like with a long bar to sit at or have a private table. Tends to be busy on weekends. They offer a variety of appetizers but are known for their gourmet hamburgers with unique toppings. They also have hot dogs and delicious sides like kalettes which is brussels sprouts and kale lightly fried in hickory smoked bacon and creamy sorghum cider vinaigrette- yummy!
A favorite for Mexican food and good option for vegetarians. Located next door and across the street from the antique malls. Affordable and authentic Mexican food with good margaritas (not too weak or too strong). Live music at times.
Authentic German food made by the owners who are from Germany. Large variety of schnitzels with sides like potato salad and kraut. German beer and desserts. Simple decor. Make a reservation if you want their famous fondue.
Authentic Italian food with full bar. Extensive menu and guests enjoy the food and service. Good selection of antipasta, flatbreads, salads. Also many chicken, veal and pork dishes too. Other entrees include salmon, shrimp scampi, cioppino (seafood stew) and grilled ribeye steak with black pepper sauce.
