Bike Ride Across the North Georgia Mountains
The last weekend in September Dahlonega hosts the annual Six Gap Century bike ride across 6 mountain passes covering 100 miles.
For those not wanting to ride as far, there is the Three Gap ride over three mountain passes for a little over 50 miles.
There is also a Valley Ride for those that do not want to deal with mountain passes.
The rides are not considered “races” but you can have your time noted at the finish. Along the way there are stop points for bathroom breaks, snacks of orange slices/ bananas/ water to help you along your ride.
The ride happens on Sunday, early in the morning. If you stay with us, the innkeepers will get out of bed extra early to serve you a breakfast of hearty loaded oatmeal, bananas and more to get you started for your day of riding.
